The state institution subordinate to the Ministry of Health (SAM) informed the Employment Service about the layoffs on August 23. The largest number of car drivers (25) will lose their jobs, as well as 9 farm workers and 3 farm managers.
“Changes in the work organization of the asset and farm management department by optimizing the available resources”, – the reason for the layoffs was given by the service to Eltai.
Employees are dismissed in accordance with Article 57 of the Labor Code. – the contract is terminated at the employer’s initiative through the fault of the employee.
According to NVSC, it is planned to lay off employees from 2025. January 1 reorganizing the institution’s human, material and financial resources.
According to the representative of the institution, after the reorganization of the Property and Farm Management Department, part of the department’s positions will be abandoned.
“The reorganization aims to optimally distribute the scope of the functions performed by the Property and Business Management Department, the duplication of functions is abandoned, and the issues of unevenness of workloads are resolved,” Vilda Bajoriūnienė, a specialist in the Quality Management Department, said to Eltai.
NVSC has a total of 537 employees.
The center takes care of ensuring public health, advises and engages in the prevention and control of infectious diseases. It also informs about COVID-19 and the general epidemiological situation in the country.
