“I know what is happening in the negotiations, I talk to the leaders of both sides. The negotiations have not led to names of ministers. The negotiations are based on principle, for much more important things”. This was stated by Rosen Plevneliev, former president, in the program “On Focus”.
“It is not true that one or another application is currently on the table,” added Plevneliev.
What is happening is what we did not do a year and a half ago, after the fourth election in a row, there was a contact group, Mr. Passi and I proposed exactly this approach. It was clear that there was no trust between the leaders. And then and now it was known what had to be done, how and who should do it. Then some left-wing populists refused to negotiate because they did not want to do anything with GERB. Now we are like 15 months ago – we know what and how, the question is no longer with whom. Not with anyone else. Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev then refused to negotiate with us as a contact group,” Plevneliev recalled.
According to him, there will be a government, but under one condition.
“Did Borisov on the one hand, and Petkov and Vassilev on the other, understand that the decisions for the future lie in the lessons learned from the past. And have they learned the lessons of the past,” commented Rosen Plevneliev.
He explained that the principle on which power is distributed is changing at the negotiations.
