The Olympic torch, where the Olympic flame of the Paris Olympics will burn, imagined by designer Mathieu Lehanneur and presented this Tuesday, July 25, is intended to be original. It does not have the traditional flared shape, but comes with a tighter, slightly oblong upper and lower part. “It is absolutely symmetrical for the first time in its history”, explained the designer, which allows “to highlight the flame more”. Designed in the French factories of ArcelorMittal, the torch is 70 cm high and weighs 1.5 kg. The object will walk on the Seine with athletes on Tuesday afternoon.
