AGI – The agreement on Alitalia with the EU could arrive by the summer. This was stated by the Minister for Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, during an interview with SkyTg24 Economy. “I think so,” Giovannini replied to a question about the possibility of an agreement within the summer months. “I hope within a short time, to allow Ita to leave as soon as possible and to collect the possible signals that are also perceived for the issue of travel around the world”, added Giovannini.

“Time is absolutely crucial and for this reason the government in recent weeks and is still engaged in discussions with the EU”, concluded the minister.

Regarding the Messina Strait Bridge, Giovannini specified that “the Commission of experts has completed the work. This report contains a lot of new information, many elements that must be considered from all points of view”, added Giovannini, who hopes furthermore that the debate “takes into consideration the analysis and a public debate takes place in the light of new data of various types: transport, economic and environmental”

While on the hypothesis that the funds of the Next Generation Eu could be used for the bridge over the Strait of Messina, the minister replied: “The PNRR is closed, gone to Brussels, end of the broadcasts”.
