He was upset that they did not help him to work with a men’s team, he first took over “Ludogorets III” in “B” group

“I came to Ludogorets not for the money!” It was written that I left “Levski” because of the money, that wages were not paid… People who know me know that I am financially secure. I have even helped colleagues with loans to come to work. I left because I didn’t see that I would be given a chance to develop into men’s football. Now there was an opportunity to give me a chance to work with the men, last year, since you are the best coach in the school, I told Mr. Sirakov twice and he did not reflect on me”, Zahari Sirakov wrote after leaving “Levski” after 5 years of working at the school. Now, in his first match in the elite group, he will face the “blues”.

“They didn’t even help me with a Pro license, they didn’t even give me an U19 to be able to accumulate points for that license.

When I started with the 2004 set two years ago, everyone said, “Don’t get that set, there were no kids!”. And we won the elite group in the first year and now they are already the best, but for me, only victories and results are not important. Now 4 boys are training with the men of “Levski” and have contracts, one boy signed with “Arda” (Kardzhali), and they are 16-17 years old!

And here I should say that they are tarnishing my name again, that I took children to “Ludogorets”. The children who came sought me out themselves. For 5 years at the “Levski” school, no matter which set I lead, he was always the champion!

For “Ludogorets” I decided very quickly, the management gives me a chance to get to men’s football faster, they help the coaches to develop with internships abroad, help me with a “Pro” license and lead a U19 set that will play and in the Champions League and plays in the “B” group, apart from the elite. They welcomed us very well and fulfilled everything we need for work, the organization is at a very high level, now it remains for us to do our work, in addition to the success of developing boys for the “B” and “A” teams!”, added the new coach of the champions.

Zahari Sirakov’s football career began with “Levski” (Kyustendil). Then he moved to the “blues” in Sofia, winning 2 titles and 2 cups with the team. After that, he played one season in “Spartak” from Pleven, later he also won the Super Cup of Cyprus with APOEL (Nicosia). He returned to Bulgaria to play briefly in “Loko” (Sf) and his native “Rodopa” (Smolyan). His strongest period was in the Russian “Amkar” (Perm), where, together with Georgi Peev and Martin Kushev, they were legends of the team that played, and successfully in the elite.

Sirakov was born on October 8, 1977 in Smolyan. Recorded 4 matches in the national team of Bulgaria.

Immediately after the end of his career in 2015, he started working at the “Levski” school, first with the youths up to 15 years old, and then with the 17-year-olds. In January 2021, he surprisingly moved to Razgrad, where he was entrusted with the team in the Northeast “B” group, which came third for “Ludogorets”, as well as the under-19 youth team. Since this year, he has been in charge of “Ludogorets II” in the Second League.
