The new parliament will face important tasks.
As reported by Day.Az on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Baku Network Public Association Sahil Karimli stated this in an interview with the Independent Media Center “Elections 2024”.
According to him, the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1 will be held transparently and fairly, once again confirming Azerbaijan’s electoral experience, and the special significance of these elections is that they will also cover the country’s territories liberated from occupation.
He noted that the 44-day Patriotic War and anti-terrorist operations carried out in September last year allowed Azerbaijan to restore its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“Our citizens who have returned to the liberated lands will be able to vote in parliamentary elections in their native places for the first time. The new convocation of the parliament will face important tasks. I am confident that the elected deputies will contribute to the development of the country. We will once again witness another success of Azerbaijan in holding fair and transparent elections,” added S. Kerimli.
