The nearly six million people who receive a monthly pension from Social Security this month will also receive the first of the two extra payments. They will do it on dates other than the usual ones because these coincide with the weekend.
According to data from the Ministry of Social Security, the average income with extraordinary pay will be around 2,300 euros, since these payments are the result of adding two monthly amounts. People who receive a pension for permanent disability derived from a work accident or occupational disease have the extra payments prorated, Therefore, month after month they charge higher amounts, but in November and June they do not receive another payment.
Another issue to take into account is that Social Security actually pays the pensions in arrears, during the first days of the following month, but the banking policy to attract customers has led the entities to assume the payment with some advance. Typically, during the last days of the month, practically all banks proceed to pay the pension into the checking account indicated by the pensioner. This usually happens every month between the 24th and 25th, but this cannot be the case in June.
The banking entities must adapt the days of collection, either advancing the payment even more or delaying it until after the weekend, which would cause the income to be executed between the June 26 and 27. During the next few days it will be known which day the Bankinter, CaixaBank, Banco Santander, Unicaja, Banco Sabadell, Ibercaja, BBVA, ING, Abanca, Cajamar and Kutxabank pensions, among others, enter.
