The Pokémon Company International, with an official note, has launched “Scarlatto e Violetto – Segreto Fiabesco”, the new expansion of the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG).
The exception to this new expansion are similar holographic cards that feature a new special holographic design, reflecting the card’s image. These cards will be identification thanks to the expansion code in the lower left corner, which will appear in a small white box with black text, not the traditional black box with white text. The expansion marks the debut of Pecharunt in the Pokémon TCG. First discovered in the “Treasure of the Local River” download content for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, Pecharunt appears as a Dark-Type Pokémon.
His Master Chains ability allows players to replace their Active Pokémon with one of the Dark-Type Pokémon on their bench. Pecharunt-ex can skillfully combine with Okidogi-ex, Munkidori-ex, and Fezandipiti-ex to create different game strategies.
Cards from the “Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret” expansion are available in the following markets:
Star Player Trainer Set: Includes nine booster packs, a rare Pecharunt promo card, and many game accessories.
Kingambit Description CollectionIncludes four booster packs, a rare Ukiyo-e-style Kingambit promotional card, and two holographic promotional cards of Pawniard and Bisharp.
Kingdra-ex Collection Special Description: including five booster packs, a rare poster card of Kingdra-ex in Ukiyo-e style, and two holographic poster cards of Horsea and Seadra.
Greninja-ex Collection Special Description: includes five booster packs, a rare promotional card of Greninja-ex in Ukiyo-e style, and two holographic promotional cards of Froakie and Frogadier.
Pack of three Envelopes with Promotional Paper: Includes three booster packs and a Pecharunt holographic booster card.
Mini Collector’s Box (available from 2 August 2024): with two envelopes, a sheet of stickers and a card with descriptions of the different characters that fit the box.
Pack of envelopes: Includes six booster packs from this expansion and will be available from September 6, 2024.
Trainers can also play “Scarlet & Violet — Secret of the Fairy” digitally on the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices. There will be an expansion in the in-game store, where players will be able to buy crystals obtained by completing daily goals for various “Scarlet & Violet: Secret Fairytale” products.
