“The entire debt of the heat consumers of Rokiškis district for the mentioned period consists of debts of residents. Other users – companies, institutions, etc. – debt free. Compared to other districts of the Panevėžys region, the debt of Rokiškės is the lowest. The debt per user (resident) of Rokiškis amounts to 250 EUR/user,” the interviewer shared the figures.
D. Paulauskienė also provided a comparison with other cities in the region: the debt of residents of Kėdainiai district per user (inhabitant) amounts to EUR 685, Pasvalio – EUR 557, Kupiškios – EUR 900, Zarasu – EUR 675, Panevėžys – EUR 469.
According to the data provided by the PE representative, this indebtedness of Rokiškės is the lowest in four years.

There are always debtors
According to the specialist, usually, at the end of the heating season, the debt of residents increases, and during the summer it decreases. However, there are always long-term borrowers – whether it is the heating season or not.
“A reminder is sent if the bill is not paid for one month, and a warning is sent if the bill is not paid for more than one month. We try to communicate with the majority of the debtor population, we clarify debt repayment options, draw up debt repayment schedules, and sign promissory notes. And only in the event that there is no agreement – we provide the material to the courts”, assured D. Paulauskienė.
