The National Telecommunications Corporation (CNT) will be in charge of the new system appointment scheduling Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS) medical services. The institution awarded a USD 5 million contract to the telephone company so that members can access medical services more quickly.
According to documents published by Sercop, appointments can be scheduled through WhatsApp channels, a mobile application, virtual assistants on the IESS website, chatbots and traditional teleoperators.

The contract agreed with CNT, which must be signed by July 20, 2024, determines that the company will schedule appointments through teleoperators, chatbots, and the application will generate calls from a call center.
