Swedish game holding company EG7 (Enad Global 7) announced today (26) that the development of the Marvel game project developed by its R&D team, Daybreak Game Company, will cease. According to EG7’s official statement, based on a comprehensive assessment of the group’s development risk profile, investment scale and long-term product strategy, the board of directors decided to change the priority of development and reallocate resources within the group to focus on long-term planning. Therefore, they decided to stop the Marvel game project developed by Daybreak Game Company. The company plans to invest more than SEK 500 million (about NT$1.5 billion) in Marvel-related projects in the next three years.

The statement also mentioned that EG7 plans to diversify its investments in several smaller projects of the group, including major updates to The Lord of the Rings Online, DC Superheroes Online, and new original IP games.
