WhatsApp will integrate a new function with which users and companies will be able to sign documents directly from the application and send them with DocuSign services and the launch of WhatsApp Delivery.
The messaging application continues to work to improve the user experience, in this case, facilitating work processes when signing documents, since it aims to speed up the sending of said files, offering more options and flexibility for companies and users, as well as maintaining privacy.
DocuSign has designed it so that companies adapt their offerings to meet their customers’ preferences in a variety of agreement types for various industries such as: banking (account opening, loan applications), insurance (policy renewals, center communications calls), healthcare (patient intake forms), legal (reaching out to people about mass tort law or class actions).
In this sense, the social network owned by Meta and the online document signing platform DocuSign have teamed up to offer a tool with which users can sign a document directly from WhatsApp and, after that, send it through the app. “quickly and safely” way.
Thus, both companies have presented the WhatsApp Delivery service, with which, in addition to signing documents directly from the messaging app, users will be able to send notifications in real time when they have sent their part of the signed document to further speed up the process.
Specifically, as DocuSign explained in a statement on its blog, users will be able to send a direct link through WhatsApp to complete a document on the signer’s mobile devices.

With this option, agreements delivered by WhatsApp are signed “almost seven times faster than those sent by email,” according to comparative analyzes cited by DocuSign. Of all DocuSign e-signature agreements delivered through the messaging app, more than 50% are completed “in 15 minutes or less.”
In addition, DocuSign has stressed that, with the incorporation of this tool, it guarantees that “its more than 2 billion users in more than 180 countries” can connect with any signer who uses the mobile messaging platform.

Following this line, in terms of privacy, the information shared with WhatsApp Delivery will be protected as “highly confidential” information by DocuSign, since each document will be encrypted so that it cannot be manipulated once it has been sent. Likewise, WhatsApp’s privacy features will also be used, which ensure that notifications “are always delivered securely.”
WhatsApp Delivery will be launched as a complementary service within DocuSign’s multi-channel delivery offering, making it available to users who are customers of the company’s standard plan or Business Pro plan.
