The news of posting DC with a check of Rs 3 crore is fake and intentional. In one word, people have been embarrassed by bringing a fake issue to the national level. It doesn’t make anyone smaller, at the end of the day it’s the people who did it that made it smaller. This was said by the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. Mokhles ur Rahman.

He said these things in a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday (September 30).

The senior secretary said, ‘Recently Kalbela newspaper has spread a big rumour. The picture has made viral news. In this regard, I would request you to verify before giving a news. It was nothing. A fake news and intentional. After such a news comes a question about you.’

He said, ‘What was here? One, his name is Mirza Sabed Ali. A fake account was opened in Padma Bank. He opened the account with Tk 2000 in 2023. On the date of investigation the balance in the account was Rs.0. There is no money.’

What is the use of confusing the nation by doing this kind of news? An inquiry committee was formed into the incident. That report has been received. The account of the bank manager was opened without filling the form. He does not live at the address given. That person’s mobile is found to be off since that day. He who can pay a check of three crore rupees will be so light?’

The senior secretary said, ‘In one word, people have been embarrassed by bringing a fake issue to the national level. It doesn’t make anyone smaller, at the end of the day it’s the people who did it that made it smaller.’

Mokhles Ur Rahman also said, ‘We will request Bangladesh Bank to give instructions to all banks, but what rules will be followed regarding opening new accounts. And such a fake person has run away with such a big incident, I request the police department to take legal action against him.’

The senior secretary said, ‘We will give a request letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, so that this ministry takes necessary initiatives in this regard.’
