Chef Benzi Arbel, who is one of the hottest names in the food scene today, has just now opened an Italian food bar – Primo, together with the restaurateur and owner of Silo – Bernardo Blachovitz. The restaurant will be led by chef Ofir Vidavsky with an emphasis on fresh local agricultural produce, a variety of fresh meats and fish, selected seafood and a connection to high-quality raw materials straight from Italy
“Primo” will focus on pan dining and fine alcohol. In the center of the space is an Italian tabon that brings out a lot of pastries and pizzas, the menu will serve dishes alongside classic and unique Italian cocktails, and there is a wine room from local and Italian boutique wineries.
Vidavsky brings with him experience from many kitchens in Israel, including Sebastian, Citra, Rochefeld and others, and also from many European countries where he managed the restaurant group of the restaurateur Arthur Yerczynski. At Primo he brings out a variety of dishes from an open kitchen surrounded by a spacious bar,
The menu will be based on a seasonal menu with an emphasis on fresh local agricultural produce, a variety of fresh meats and fish, selected seafood and a connection to high-quality raw materials straight from Italy.
Among the dishes: beef fillet tartare, olives from Sicily and crispy egg yolk, lightly marinated sirloin, bone marrow, pecorino romano, charcoal-grilled calamari, Jerusalem artichoke confit, salsa verde, chard in tabon, cheese filling, spinach stock, parmesan, veal almond skewer, root cream Celery, demi-glas porcini, lemonade pizza, bechamel, artichoke alla romana, arugula, parmesan, bodino, naughty Italian pudding dessert and more.
The place was designed by the designer Shani Ring and is inspired by Italian dining and Italian street parties. These are expressed in an eclectic design of the space that combines meticulous handiwork, and an elegant sexy atmosphere.
