The next restaurant contestant surprises the judges: “I want it to be a kosher restaurant”

In recent years, food reality shows have proliferated. Cooking, baking, and even a kitchen, you can find everything. In the new reality of Network 13, the creators present an original version, the like of which has not yet been made on television, “Israel’s Next Restaurant.”

In an episode that will be broadcast on Saturday night, one of the contestants in the program surprises and tells about his dream of actually opening a kosher restaurant. “I have been in the process of repentance, or a spiritual path, for 14 years. I have taken on a task, I want it to be a kosher restaurant, so that anyone who does not eat kosher will stand in line to eat there,” Judge Assaf Granit replied: “If it is good it will happen.”

As you may recall, the winner of each episode opens a real restaurant in the Herbert Samuel complex in Tel Aviv, and viewers can enter the site and book a place for the restaurant in the days that follow. In each audition episode four contestants compete, who have come up with their own unique concept and built a scale model of the restaurant in the studio. The four judges, Assaf Granit, Moshik Roth, Yossi Sheetrit and Ruthi Russo, have to choose one restaurant concept in each audition episode that will become a real-world restaurant later this week.
