Also in this cycle the locating committee gave priority to present and past athletes and coaches, but also included others, including four men. Among the participants in the current course: Olympic athlete Hannah Minenko, tennis player Tzipi Obziler, footballer Moran Lavie-Dagan, general manager of the Athletics Association Gal Levy.

Previous courses have included: Chairman of the Volleyball Association Revital Gloska-Cohen, Member of the Board of the Israel Olympic Committee Kinneret Zedaf, Director General of the Sailing Association Smadar Pintov, Director General of the Gymnastics Association Sarit Shinar, Director General of the Taekwondo Association Noa Shmida, Director Lith Athena Moran Mesika and Olympic swimmer Adi Bichman.

Yael Arad, Chairman of the Israel Olympic Committee, said: “The percentage of women in Israeli sports is one of the lowest in the world. In Israel, only one woman serves as chair of a sports association. Instead of asking what to do we decided to simply initiate, do and lead the change from within the home. In Israeli sports in general, there is no significant training of executives or enrichment courses as exists in the business sector and we thought that encouraging women and managers in the various systems to develop in the managerial field will help the integration of women in sports management in Israel. We encourage women to be active in advancing the managerial ladder, and at the same time we appeal to the chairmen of the various managements to enjoy an excellent team of directors and to work for their integration. ”

Gili Lustig The CEO of the Olympic Committee added: “The Olympic Committee in Israel considers human capital the most important resource. “Fortunately, the program has gained a reputation and the demand has only increased. So far we have trained 47 women and 7 men. At the end of the training, the graduates will join the respected team of sports boards in Israel and we are already preparing for the fourth but not the last course.”

Susie Yogev, Chairman of the Gender Equality Committee of the Israel Olympic Committee, stated: “We in the Israel Olympic Committee are constantly working to reduce the gender gaps in the organization’s management, committees and equal representation of athletes in the Olympic Games. “And not from an inability. The wide and happy response to enrolling in the board course proves how much women are interested in integrating and influencing. I have no doubt that their quality and integration in the future in the various sports organizations and key positions will affect the quality of sports management in Israel in the future.”
