Chilean Tennis Players Prepare for Next Challenge After Early Exit from Paris Olympics
The Chilean tennis players faced an early departure from the 2024 Paris Olympics, but they are quickly turning the page and preparing for their next tournament: the Masters 1000 de Montreal.
After their elimination in the singles and doubles draws, Alejandro Tabilo and Nicolás Jarry are eager to get back on the court. They will be back in action next week at one of the most important competitions on the ATP circuit, which will also serve as a preview for the next tournament of this category to be held in Cincinnati.
The Montreal Masters 1000 features the best tennis players in the world, but unfortunately, it has been officially cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, who had previously confirmed his participation, announced his withdrawal due to fatigue. Other notable absentees include Jiri Lehecka and Francisco Cerúndolo. This opens up opportunities for players like Marcos Giron, Alexei Popyrin, and Flavio Cobolli to earn a main draw spot.
The main draw of the ATP Masters 1000 in Montreal will take place from August 6-12. The draw will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, at 4:30 p.m. (Chilean time).
