The final of the Inter-Provincial Independence Cup Football Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Football Federation was held today at the Durayappa Stadium in Jaffna.
The Southern Province team played against the Northern Province team in the final.
The Northern Province team won the match with a score of 3: 1.
Sri Lankan footballer Yogendra Ducson Piusless has died in the Maldives.
The match was shifted to Jaffna in honor of the record holder Piuslas. Therefore, the funeral of Pius Lussen was postponed to Monday, the day after tomorrow.
It is noteworthy that the Northern Province team has become the national level champion in dedication to Tucson Piuslas.
