For many young people graduating from high school in 2023, they are about to start their own Health Insurancethey remind like every summer from the revenue agency in Plovdiv.
The adults, who received their high school diplomas this year, are covered by state health insurance until the end of June. They must pay for their own health insurance until they start working or enroll in a higher education institution, a full-time form of education in the country or abroad. For this purpose, they must submit a one-time (when the obligation to provide insurance under this order arises) declaration Form No. 7 in each office of NRA, by mail with return receipt or in the Portal for electronic services of the revenue agency, accessible with a personal identification code (PIC).
The declaration must be submitted by the 25th of the month following the month in which the obligation to pay their own health contributions arises. In the heading “Health insurance” – “Students” on the NRA website there is also information on filling out and submitting a declaration Form 7 and given the option to download the form. When filling out the declaration, in addition to the mandatory fields, it is important that seniors enter a contact phone number.
The health insurance contribution can be paid free of charge, on-site at a NRA service office through available POS terminals or online at the Agency’s e-services portal.
If more than three unpaid health insurance contributions for the last three years are admitted, the adult may end up with interrupted health insurance rights and no access to free health services provided by the National Health Insurance Fund, the NRA also reminds.
