The number of domestic air passengers increased by 47 percent in September

The Directorate of Civil Aviation reported a 47 per cent increase in the number of domestic air passengers in September.

The Directorate of Civil Aviation said that the total number of domestic air passengers increased by 47 percent to 1.03 crore in September 2022 compared to September 2021 and the number of domestic air passengers increased by 2 percent in September compared to August 2022.

IndiGo, the number one airline, has a market share of 57.7 percent in September, followed by Vistara with a market share of 9.6 percent and Air India with a market share of 8.7 percent. The Directorate of Civil Aviation also said that Vistara ranks first with an on-time flight rate of 91 per cent.
