The total number of victims of the accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kuzbass exceeded 90. At the same time, 30 of the victims are mine rescuers. This was reported on November 29 by TASS, citing a source.
“A total of 80 people were hospitalized: 45 miners and 35 mine rescuers. During the day, only the number of hospitalized mine rescuers increased by 18, ”said the agency’s interlocutor.
Another 12 miners received assistance on an outpatient basis. The total number of victims is 92.
As it became known on November 29, after the tragedy at the Listvyazhnaya mine, prosecutors revealed 449 violations of the legislation on safety and labor in the mines of Kuzbass based on the results of an inspection of 31 mines.
In particular, the specialists revealed the lack of work on the modernization of the positioning systems of miners and transport, the understaffing of workers at the sites, problems with the system for delivering people to the sites, the lack of safety briefings, the failure to provide personal protective equipment and overalls, the violation of the work and rest regime, as well as the lack of equipment. escape routes, wiring failure.
Based on the materials of the check, a criminal case was initiated on negligence, the accused was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention.
On the morning of November 25, smoke started to appear at the Listvyazhnaya mine. The accident killed 51 people, including five rescuers. On November 27, the bodies of five dead miners were raised to the surface.
After what happened in the region, an emergency regime was introduced.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of a person by negligence”), as well as a criminal case on the fact of negligence of employees of the Rostekhnadzor department.
All five defendants in the emergency case were arrested for two months. The director of the Listvyazhnaya mine Sergei Makhrakov, his deputy Andrei Molostvov, state inspectors of the Belovsky territorial department of the Siberian department of Rostekhnadzor Vyacheslav Semykin and Sergei Vinokurov, as well as the head of the mine section Sergei Gerasimenok were arrested.
