The number of polling stations in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will be increased.

As reported on Wednesday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, this was stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panakhov at a meeting for the chairmen of district election commissions at the CEC.

According to him, conditions are being created for holding voting in the early parliamentary elections at more than 6,400 polling stations in 125 electoral districts.

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission noted that voting will take place for the first time in the liberated territories in the elections to the Milli Majlis.

“The number of polling stations in the liberated territories will be increased. Yesterday, 8 more stations were created. We are paying special attention to organizing the voting process for the parliamentary elections in the liberated territories,” he added.

It should be noted that on June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to dissolve the Milli Majlis of the sixth convocation and call early elections to the Milli Majlis. According to the order, the Milli Majlis of the sixth convocation was dissolved, and early parliamentary elections were scheduled for September 1.
