“According to the operational data of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine, at 11:27 am Moscow time, as a result of the incident at the Perm State University, eight people were killed, 24 injured were provided with medical assistance, 19 of them with gunshot wounds,” it was reported. It is clarified that 25 medical teams are working at the scene. Earlier, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia reported eight deaths as a result of the incident, the number of victims in the department was not named.

Earlier today, at about 11:00 local time (9:00 Moscow time), an unknown person opened fire on the PGNIU campus. Initially, this was reported by the university’s press service on the VKontakte page. They clarified that the attacker was “a guy in a mask.” His name was not officially announced.

Later, the UK announced the arrest of the shooter. The department clarified that he resisted and was wounded. On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated on the murder of two or more persons (part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
