Patna: Bakaria, the number one robber of Bihar’s banks, was caught. Bihar Special Task Force (STF) and Patna Police achieved success. He was absconding in many cases including bank and gold robbery. Santosh Kumar alias Bakaria, a notorious criminal of Patna district, was arrested along with his four associates. A girl is also among the arrested accused. A police officer said that illegal weapons and looted money were also recovered from the criminals. Patna Police is taking action against these criminals as they are members of an organized criminal gang.
Seven goats were caught from Basmatia
The arrested people include Santosh Kumar alias Bakariya from Danapur, Pintu Kumar, Sumit Kumar from Sitamarhi, Sagar Raj from Gola Road, Patna and Aarti Kumari alias Basmatia from Danapur. Rs 47450, a pistol, two country-made pistols, 15 cartridges, five mobile phones, a bike bought from the looted money and two ATM cards have been seized from them.

All of them are said to be interstate criminals. According to the police, this gang had carried out the robbery at Bihta Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Bihta Axis Bank, Dhanarua Utkarsh Small Finance Bank and Dulhin Bazar Punjab National Bank in Patna district and Axis Bank in Sheikhpura district.
Vardhaman of Bengal was made a base
The arrested Pintu Kumar has earlier been in Burdwan jail in West Bengal and used to plan to rob various banks from there. He has also gone to jail in the case of murder of the owner of Khadim showroom in Patna district. In this case, Bihar STF had arrested Ghanshyam Bharti alias Chotan Giri and Shatrughan Yadav.
