Homeland Today: In its frenzied terrorist war against the Palestinians, which was revealed to the whole world in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation continues its crimes against the Palestinians, as its forces assassinated the prisoner Abdul Rahman Al-Bahash inside the occupation’s “Megiddo” prison.
Yesterday, the Commission for Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced the assassination by the Israeli occupation of prisoner Abdul Rahman Bassem Al-Bahsh, from the Nablus Governorate in the West Bank, who was 23 years old, in “Megiddo” prison.
They confirmed in a joint statement that the occupation prison administration carried out a new assassination by killing prisoner Al-Bahash in “Megiddo” prison, explaining that the prisoner has been detained since May 31, 2022, and has been sentenced to 35 months in prison.
With this assassination carried out by the occupation prisons administration, “the martyr Al-Bahash will be the first martyr on the first day of the year 2024, and the seventh martyr in the occupation prisons after the seventh of October 2023.”
The two Palestinian authorities specialized in prisoner affairs said that the assassination of prisoner Al-Bahsh occurred “along with a number of Gaza detainees, whose martyrdom had been reported by the occupation media in the Sde Teman camp in Beersheba, without clarifying any details about their identities or numbers.”
The statement stated that the assassination crime in “Megiddo” prison, which was one of the prisons that witnessed horrific crimes and systematic torture operations against prisoners, after the seventh of last October, in which three prisoners were killed before the prisoner Al-Bahash, confirms that “the occupation continues without any harm.” A deterrent, or any consideration, in carrying out further assassination operations against prisoners and detainees in its prisons.”

The Commission and the Club held full responsibility, in addition to the criminal occupation, for all international forces that continue to support the occupation in continuing its genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and its continued comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people in all places where they are located, as well as against the prisoners in prisons.
In their statement, they called on all international human rights institutions, led by the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, to restore their necessary and required role in the face of these endless crimes, and to exert pressure by all means to stop the unprecedented crimes against prisoners in the occupation prisons.
