Apple and Warner Bros. Pictures has released the teaser trailer for the 2025 film ‘F1’, starring Lewis Hamilton.
The teaser was released 30 minutes before its start British Grand Prix and shows Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes dating Irish actress Kerry Condon.
The film, starring Brad Pitt, is expected to be released in June 2025. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, creator of “Top Gun: Maverick,” and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, it will be released worldwide on June 25.
The teaser trailer shows an unofficial appearance of former Haas boss Guenther Steiner, who can be seen watching from a hole in the wall in his former team’s colours.
The film follows the story of fictional former racing driver Sonny Hayes, who makes a return to the APX GP team in a story set during the 2023 season.
Many Formula 1 drivers and teams have participated in the filming so far. The trailer also included real racing footage, modified to show the GP APX cars, as were scenes with Pitt and co-star Damson Idris driving the two cars.
In fact, Pitt and Idris have driven real laps in a modified Mercedes car used for filming. The two actors are this week in Silverstone to continue shooting scenes.
Pitt took part in the usual F1 driver briefing on Friday and also appeared on television on Saturday after qualifying to film a scene as if he were taking part in a normal session.
