Some have dubbed her the “grandmother of the United States,” acknowledging⁣ her extraordinary longevity.

LongeviQuest, an organization that tracks​ the world’s oldest individuals,⁣ presented Francis with a plaque to⁤ celebrate her ‌remarkable achievement.

Ben Meyers of LongeviQuest shared in an interview ⁣with the Washington Post that Francis’s story⁢ is ultimately‍ about faith, ⁢strength, and family, rather than just longevity.

Her granddaughter, Ethel Harrison,‍ revealed that⁤ Francis is ⁣a devout woman ⁣who attributes her longevity to ⁢her faith ⁤in God. “She will tell you ⁢it is by the grace of God,” she said. “That’s how it lasted so long. It’s very spiritual.”

Francis‌ has been an active member of the Church Good Hope ‍Missionary Baptist throughout her life.

“She’s ‍still an ​active member, even ​though she can’t physically attend church,” Harrison shared.

When asked about turning 115, Francis expressed gratitude ‌to​ God for allowing her ‍to‍ reach this milestone. “I thank the good Lord for being here,” she ‌said.
