Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said, in a statement received by the (INA): “The ministerial meeting to monitor production in OPEC and OPEC Plus, the 53rd session, decided to recommend maintaining the production levels that were approved in the previous meeting until next June.” without change”.
Jihad pointed out that “Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani participated in the ministerial meeting to monitor production, via video technology, alongside members of the Council, with the participation of the Director General of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), Ammar Al-Anbaki, and represented Iraq in the organization.” “.
He added, “The importance of maintaining previously established production levels was emphasized, in addition to the commitment of member states in order to achieve greater stability and balance in global markets.”
He noted that “the Council decided to hold its next meeting on June 1, 2024.”
