San Francisco/Berlin The official ChatGPT app for smartphones is coming: It can be used immediately in the USA and should also be available in other countries in the coming weeks, according to OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. However, the app will initially only be available for iOS. An Android version is planned.
For the iOS app, OpenAI promises a synchronized history of chatbot conversations on all devices used. In addition, the Whisper speech recognition for user input has been integrated into the application.
Regardless of whether you use ChatGPT in the free basic version or in the paid Plus version, the app is said to be free. In addition to access to the latest language model (GPT-4), OpenAI promises subscribers faster response times or earlier access to new functions.
