California: Hollywood actor Sidney Poitier (94), who lived in California, USA, has passed away. A black man, he played the best characters from 1950 to 1960 and was well received by fans. A native of the United States and the Bahamas, he was the son of a tomato farmer from the island of Panama.
Sidney Poitier was nominated for an Oscar in 1958 for his role in The Different Ones. 6 years later she won an Oscar for her performance in ‘Lilies of the Field’.
