The Palestinians blame Israel for the terrorist’s death: “medical negligence”

Shavas announced this morning (Tuesday) the death of the security prisoner, the terrorist Nasser Naji Abu Hamid, after he fell ill with cancer. He was hospitalized in the “Shamir” hospital and this morning due to the deterioration of his condition, he was pronounced dead. Abu Hamid was one of the founders of the “Gadot” organization Martyrs of al-Aqsa” and was the right hand of Marwan Barghouti.

Upon publication of the announcement of his death, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Authority blamed Israel for his death: “The occupation bears full responsibility for the killing of the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid and for the fate of all the prisoners. The prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid died in Assaf Harofeh Hospital – as a result of deliberate medical negligence by the occupation authorities and as a result of the deliberate killing policy of the SHBS management towards sick prisoners”.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades also accuse Israel of issuing a statement on their behalf: “He languished in the enemy’s prisons for more than 20 years, after causing pain to the IDF and causing him to be prosecuted for 7 life sentences and 50 years in prison. He was medically neglected despite his illness.”

As mentioned, the senior Abu Hamid was one of the founders of the Al-Aqsa martyrs organization. During the al-Aqsa intifada he was a member of the leadership of the Fatah youth movement in Ramallah. In 2002, when he was 22 years old, a serious indictment was brought against him in the Jerusalem District Court for his involvement in a series of attacks and murders of Israelis and he was sentenced at the end of the proceedings to life imprisonment. The terrorist was accused of – 13 different counts, including involvement in the murder of the Kahana couple, planting a bomb in the “Bianchini” cafe in Jerusalem, the murder of Gad Rajoan with crowns and involvement in the attack on the Sea Food Market in Tel Aviv.
