A young woman made a fake suicide threat through her Instagram page to scare her partner and surrounded the police. The incident took place in Karamana Melaranur. The Instagram monitoring cell informed the police that the suicide threat was true. Both were released with a warning.
A young woman from Alappuzha and a young man from Neyyatinkara have been living together in Karamana for 3 years. When the young man did not pick up the phone and was late to return, the woman became ‘severe’. Tomato sauce was smeared on the wrist to show that the vein had been cut. The mistaken Instagram officials handed over the information to the Kochi City Police. After finding the location of the woman with the help of cyber cell, the Kochi City Police informed the Karamana Police.
