The Parties Communication Network warned against using military means to inflame the conflict and seek support from external parties, which could drag the country, especially Tripoli and the western region, into a devastating civil war, causing serious damage to lives and property.

This came in a statement issued after the fifth meeting of the network’s parties, a copy of which was obtained by “Libya Eye”, in which it indicated that it is following with interest the successive developments in the political and security scene, and is monitoring the movements of the conflicting parties in light of the sudden change in the management of the United Nations Support Mission to Libya, and has stopped The five-year dialogue initiative proposed by the resigned head of the mission. The network also studies the living situation affected by the imbalance in monetary policy, problems of liquidity, spending, inflation, and others.

The statement pointed to the important role of political parties, which constitute the solid foundation for any true democratic transformation, based on the concepts of a civil state, the rule of law, separation of powers, and the peaceful transfer of power.

The Parties Communication Network emphasized adherence to the peaceful civil democratic approach, as a basis for building the Libyan state, after the February 17 revolution.

The network’s statement noted the need to remove the administrations and work of sovereign institutions, especially the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation, from the furnace of political and security conflict, because they represent the basic rules of the civil state’s work system.

The Parties Communication Network also affirmed its support for all local and international efforts, which are based on the fair participation of all Libyan parties, in order to complete the constitutional construction of the state, organize elections, and consolidate stability.

The statement was signed by:

  • Libya Technocrat Party
  • National Front Party
  • Justice and Construction Party
  • National Action Party
  • Change Party
  • Libya Development Party
