Emerging from the pandemic with a historic deficit of 26 billion euros in 2021 – the second strongest in its history – Medicare has identified ways to achieve… 1.2 billion in savings in 2023. is both little compared to the 168 billion euros in reimbursements in 2021, and ambitious in a context where France has not yet emerged from Covid and where hospitals and city medicine are in crisis.
These slim savings, detailed in the traditional report “Expenses and products» published this Thursday, will not be enough, far from it, to restore the balance of the social accounts, the government will have to seek other levers.
