The recent champion of the Giro Bio and second in the Tour de l’Avenir in 2022 had to leave this edition of the French race yesterday. It treats of Johannes Staune-Mittet, Norwegian of 21 years and one of the jewels of the quarry of Jumbo Visma.
“Unfortunately, Johannes had to leave the race victim of a fall in stage 2,” they explained from his team. “He had some injuries and we wish him a speedy recovery,” he expanded.
The loss of the Norwegian opens the door to several applicants who had the general complicated with the presence of the virtuous cyclist. It is worth mentioning -to size up his figure- that he already has a contract with the World Tour team from 2024 to 2026, and that he has interspersed some 2.1 appointments with the professionals.
