The day of tribute to the golden age of the Club Baloncesto Peñas in the ACB was not just a nod to nostalgia. It was the starting point of the “renaissance” that the entity has launched and that is sustained in part on public and private support. In sponsorship agreements such as the one that was presented this Thursday at the Peñas Center and that involves the meat company Fribin. A collaboration that goes beyond nominal support and the Verdiblancos will remain visible in the province, with initiatives aimed at members and the dispute of first team matches and events of the youth teams in Binéfar.

The president of the Peñas, Fernando Lascorz, explained the details of this agreement together with the executive president of Fribin, Cristina Gallart, and its head of marketing and communication, Iván Reales. For Lascorz it is “a very important boost” that this type of company trusts the club. The collaboration is aimed at promoting the business lines of the Montearagón processed products brand and the Punto Carne stores. Content has been recorded for social networks, with benefits for members in stores and product promotions at points of sale, the Palacio de los Deportes or the Peñas Center.

The sponsorship will continue until the end of the season and the parties are convinced that it will continue over time. Last Saturday’s act was for Lascorz “a turning point, a new stage” in a day “of union and reconciliation” in a Palace that housed nearly 4,000 spectators. “The strength that the Peñas continues to have at a social and organizational level was visualized,” and “that new companies join is key.” The institutions also publicly expressed their support, but also “we need the business fabric of the province to trust us.” In the future, “more ambitious projects” will be undertaken with the aim of returning to the LEB Oro League.
