Pallipalayam: In the area of Pallipalayam Panchayat Saudhapuram Panchayat, the people of Saudhapuram have protested against the revenue officials taking action to grant land to the people of other panchayats and to recover the non-government land.
Regarding this, Saudhapuram Panj, President Jayantinandagopal said:
In the Chettiarkadai area under Saudhapuram Panj, 40 cents of non-government circulation was found and the revenue officials came and inspected it last week. Officials have recovered the location of the non-government movement.
We have already requested that basic facilities including public toilet, health center and Anganwadi center should be provided at this place. We have also submitted a petition to the District Collector the day before yesterday.
Without consulting the Saudhapuram panchayat administration, the revenue department is taking steps to issue the license to the people belonging to other panchayats in the recovered non-government area.
We should give Patta to the people living in our Panj area and those who have no place. We have decided to go on a hunger strike soon against the issuance of badges to people belonging to other Panjs.
