The People’s Voice Party expressed its great happiness at the departure of the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator, Georgette Gagnon, after the end of her duties in Libya.

The party said in a statement obtained by “Libya Eye” that Gagnon’s period of service was nothing but a new episode of attempts at foreign interference in Libya’s internal affairs, and that she sought, in various ways, with the Ambassador of the European Union mission to Libya, Nicolas Orlando, to advance suspicious agendas, including seeking To settle illegal immigrants on Libyan territory, in an attempt to change the demographic composition of the Libyan people and undermine their stability and security.

The People’s Voice Party explained that it sees Gagnon’s departure as a positive step on the path to getting rid of the international hegemony that is being exercised over Libya under the guise of “supporting development” and “peacebuilding,” adding: “However, we stress that the presence of the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicolas Orlando, He represents a direct threat to our national security, and we hope for his departure as soon as possible, as he is a partner in the conspiracies aimed at weakening Libya and disrupting its national sovereignty.”

The party affirmed that the Libyan people are capable of solving their problems on their own without the need for external interventions or suspicious mediations, and stressed that Libya will not be a land for the settlement of immigrants and will not accept any attempt to change its identity or demographics.

The People’s Voice Party concluded its statement by issuing an appeal to all international parties to respect Libya’s sovereignty and the aspirations of its people towards a safe and prosperous future away from destructive interventions and plans.
