The percentage of appearance of each card in Pokémon Pocket is part of the magic of discovery among many rarities. This practice also extends to special events such as Venusaur of this same Friday 29 November with five drawings totally new. Among the additions there are two starter Pokémon in the third evolution and they are the most difficult to obtain.
The particular journey to obtain Lapras EX In the last event it wasn’t easy for all players, and now it has an official repeat. Venusaur and Greninja They are the most acclaimed cards in the new pack thanks to their fame, their combat power and being clearly the most desired. Even so, with these percentages the grass-type Pokémon is ahead of its ninja companion.
- Venusaurus (12.66%)
- Grapefruit (15.82%)
- Infestor (23.84%)
- Jigglypuff (23.84%)
- Onyx (23.84%)
Of the new cards available, three designs are renewed and the other two cards have completely new abilities, graphics and statistics. Jigglypuff and Haunter are the two versions which can shift the meta a bit until the new set arrives. And they’re not a big deal, but they improve the transition of many decks.
Especially Jigglypuff because it manages to be the only basic Pokémon capable of sleeping in a single attack without having to flip a coin. This option puts it into many types of decks making it an interesting window into deckbuilding with Vileplume or Frosmoth among others.
Chance of getting packs in the Venusaur event
Another of the most repeated questions at the Lapras EX event was Pokémon Pocket’s determination to deliver a booster pack based on the game. Depending on the difficulty there is more or less possibility of obtaining a promotional package in which only the five cards mentioned appear. These are the current percentages according to the four game types.
- Easy Mode: 51% chance of getting a promo.
- Normal Mode: 64% chance of getting a promotion.
- Hard Mode: 80% chance to get a promo.
- Advanced Mode: 100% options to get a promotion.

Time.news Editor (Tom): Welcome to Time.news! Today we’re diving into the exciting world of Pokémon Pocket, especially with the recent buzz surrounding the Venusaur event happening on November 29th. Joining me is Pokémon expert and avid card collector, Dr. Mia Ramos. Thanks for being here, Mia!
Dr. Mia Ramos: Thank you for having me, Tom! I’m excited to chat about this fascinating event.
Tom: So, Mia, let’s get straight to the point. The launch of new cards is always a thrilling moment for players. Can you tell us why the percentage of card appearances is such a critical aspect in this game?
Dr. Mia Ramos: Absolutely! The randomness and rarity of card appearances add an element of excitement and discovery for players. Each card has its own unique strength and abilities, making the hunt for elusive cards part of the overall thrill of gameplay. This time, Venusaur and Greninja are exceptionally popular, and their percentage of appearance reflects that.
Tom: Right. Speaking of percentages, I see that Venusaur is sitting at approximately 12.66%, which puts it ahead of Greninja. Why do you think Venusaur is catching more attention?
Dr. Mia Ramos: Venusaur’s strong combat powers and nostalgic value from the original Pokémon series make it a coveted card. Additionally, it’s one of the starter Pokémon in its third evolution, and that rarity drives its desirability even higher. Fans see it as not just a card, but a piece of their childhood.
Tom: Interesting! The event also features other new cards like Jigglypuff and Onyx. How do you feel about the variety in this new pack?
Dr. Mia Ramos: Variety is key in keeping the game fresh. With the inclusion of three renewed designs and two completely new cards, players are encouraged to experiment with different strategies and combinations. The introduction of new abilities and statistics can completely change how players build their decks. Jigglypuff, for example, is well-known for its charming ability, and now it has new mechanics that could shake things up!
Tom: It sounds like there’s a lot of strategy involved. Now, I’ve also heard that getting your hands on the Lapras EX card has been quite a challenge in the last event. Can you shed some light on that?
Dr. Mia Ramos: Yes, obtaining Lapras EX has definitely been no walk in the park! Its rarity and power make it an ultimate goal for many players. The repeat of the event means that players will have another chance to acquire this card, which they may have missed previously. This creates both excitement and tension in the community.
Tom: With all these dynamics at play, how do you see the community reacting to the Venusaur event?
Dr. Mia Ramos: The community will likely be buzzing with excitement. Events like this foster conversations, trading, and collaboration among players. It’s a wonderful time for communities to come together, share their experiences, and strategize to maximize their chances of obtaining these rare cards.
