More than one million public servants of the national order have begun the process of declaring assets and income, which will last until Friday, May 31.

The Administrative Department of the Public Service has announced that around 1,053,118 public servants, belonging to various branches of power, have the responsibility of completing this declaration.

The period for updating the declaration of assets and income was started by the aforementioned entity from the first day of April and will continue until May 31, 2024.

According to the Public Employment Information and Management System (SIGEP II), administered by the Administrative Department of the Public Function, this process involves servants of the Executive Branch of the National Order, as well as members of the Judicial and Legislative Branch, entities autonomous bodies, control bodies, electoral organization and the Comprehensive System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition.

Public servants must complete the Single Asset and Income Declaration Form available in the SIGEP II. This form will collect detailed information on personal data, financial obligations, family composition, property assets, labor and non-labor income, among other relevant aspects.

The information that must be reported corresponds to the period from January 1, 2023 to December 31 of the same year.

«César Augusto Manrique, general director of Public Function, stated: ‘The Government of Change is a transparent Government at the service of citizens, therefore, it is an obligation of each and every public servant in the country to present their declaration of assets and income in order to strengthen the relationship between the State and citizens’.

The Public Service has reiterated that the declaration of assets and income is a duty of all public servants, established in Law 190 of 1995 and Decree 1083 of 2015, both when entering an entity, during their stay in it and when leaving. .

Public servants are reminded that the declaration must be made through SIGEP II.
