Asher Natan Morley, only 14 years old, was murdered on Shabbat evening and laid to rest on Shabbat evening.
Avni Kodesh boys accompanied him. He is not the typical age for our boys, but he just came one day and said: I’m afraid of breaking down, can I stay here? I want to remain a good Jew! That’s what he told Rabbi Yonatan when he arrived.
The boys talk about the “simplicity of an angel”, “rare respect for parents”, “helps everyone with a light on his face”.
Rabbi Yonatan of the mitzvot of avni kodesh: “Pure, pure pure!”
Moshe Kook, from the team: “A guy with a heart of gold. I knew him personally, just a sweet guy, sensitive, kind-hearted, gentle, good manners. A honey guy.”
Asher went out to meet friends after the Shabbat meal, and was murdered.
His friends from Avni Kodesh are eulogizing him now: “Dear Asher, you were our third student in Merat Har. You would come in the middle of the night, at odd hours. I eat as much as you can from Rabbi Nachman’s story. I so want to sit down with you for some deep conversation over a huge package of Mistakes, but you’re an immigrant like an innocent immigrant. You’ve probably already completed your mission… You’re a huge light, I’m only realizing it now.”
“How devotedly you would settle the land, every time where it was needed, with enormous devotion. So young and walking only with your truth. And how you behaved well to everyone.”
“You knew what you needed. It was just fun to be around you. We lost a huge loss.”
