The man then landed the plane outside Ashland Field, about 60 miles northeast of Tupelo. The police rushed to arrest him. The man, who was taken into police custody, has been identified as Corey Patterson. It turns out he didn’t have a pilot’s license and had been a lineman at the Tupelo City Airport for 10 years.

It has been found that Patterson, who was also involved in refueling planes, stole a 9-seater small plane and threatened it. Subsequently, a case was registered against him for making threats of theft and terrorism.

After the initial threat, Dubela police said he did not intend to hurt himself or anyone else. Meanwhile, Mississippi State Governor Reeves said in his Twitter post that the situation has stabilized and no one was injured.
