The second call for the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (Perte VEC II) has received, so far, 139 applications with a total of 260 projects included in its two lines of aid, which involve the mobilization of more than 7.5 billion euros, according to the latest data updated this Friday by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The acting minister of the sector, Héctor Gómez, highlighted that the Government is evaluating the second call for Perte VEC II, and they are “absolutely convinced” that they are going to “100% exhaust the resources allocated to the two existing lines.” in this call, both in the battery space and in individual projects.

Specifically, 30 companies have requested aid for the battery line through 41 projects, which together will mobilize a budget of 5,009 million euros.

Spain notified the Commission, within the framework of the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework, of a regime of 837 million euros to support the production of batteries for the industrial chain of electric and connected vehicles, of which 550 million are in the form of a subsidy. and 287, loan.

Aid for Ford

The Ministry of Industry published this Thursday the first list with the provisionally approved applications for the battery line of the second call of the Perte VEC, which has been awarded to Ford, with 37.6 million euros, and Basquevolt, with 14.7 millions of euros.

For its part, in the line intended for individual projects, 109 companies have participated so far, which have requested aid for 219 projects that will collectively mobilize budgets of 2,580 million euros.

For this second line, 559 million euros have been called, of which 344 million are in the form of a subsidy and 215 million are in the form of a loan.

This second phase of the Perte VEC is endowed with 1,396 million euros and the deadline to present projects expires on September 15.

The minister emphasized that his team does everything possible so that the aid that is resolved by simple concurrence, that is, in order of arrival, reaches the beneficiaries as soon as possible.
