jpnn.com – SAMARINDA – Leo Gaucho leaves Borneo FC Samarinda ahead of the second round of BRI Liga 1.
The 23 year old Brazilian striker resigned.
“Borneo FC Samarinda announces that foreign striker Leo Gaucho is leaving the club this January,” read a statement from Borneo FC on the club’s website.
Leo is actually projected to be the future striker of Borneo FC.
He was awarded a two-season contract in the transfer market in the middle of last year.
Leo immediately made a good impression at the start of his arrival, scoring three goals in five matches in the 2024 President’s Cup. In total he has played 24 times, with a contribution of 12 goals in all competitions.
“The relationship with Leo Gaucho has officially ended because the player resigned from the club due to family matters in Brazil. Management understands Leo’s personal interests, so a mutual agreement was reached to terminate his contract.”
However, it didn’t take long for Borneo FC to find a replacement.
