Moscow: Russian authorities have blamed the illegal use of smartphones among soldiers for the incident that killed several soldiers in a missile attack by the Ukrainian army. Russia lost 89 soldiers in Makivka missile attack.

Lt. Gen. Sergey Sevrykov, who stated that the incident is being investigated, said that the reason behind the backlash was the widespread use of mobile phones by soldiers, which bypassed the ban and alerted the enemy’s weapons.

The Russians discovered that after using the phone, the enemy could locate the soldiers and accurately target the missile. At 12:01 a.m. Moscow time on New Year’s Day, six rockets were fired at Mak Vika. Russia managed to break two of these. But the rest hit the target exactly. Russia lost 89 soldiers at once.

Earlier it was reported that 63 soldiers were killed. But it later rose to 89. This is the first time Russia has lost so many troops together since the start of the war with Ukraine.

At the same time, there has been a huge protest from the people against the Russian leadership. A day after the attack on Makivka, Russian officials confirmed the mass killing of soldiers.
