Representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are checking information from residents of the Bolshemurtinsky District about violations in the work of a local enterprise. The villagers reported that the Krasnoyarsky pig breeding complex discharges sewage into the Nizhnyaya Podnaya river without preliminary cleaning.
Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Rational Nature Management of the region took water samples in the river and at the enterprise.
“The inspection showed that sewage from the pipe pollutes the river. And this is a flagrant violation of environmental legislation,” the press service of the regional government quotes Deputy Minister of Ecology and Rational Use of Natural Resources Yulia Gumenyuk. According to her, the department will make every effort to force the company to comply with the law.
