Sony has confirmed the arrival of the PlayStation Competition Service on the current console generation, the PlayStation 5. After a three-month testing period, PlayStation 5 users can now enjoy the full competitive gaming experience offered by Sony on titles such as NBA2K23 and FIFA 23. More games will be added with the time.

It is also possible to locate competitions from the home screen of the games. And if you want to do more than just compete, the Discord software also ensures an active chat.

Anyone eligible with a PlayStation Plus membership can join. Prizes range from in-game coins to money that will go straight into your PlayStation account. To encourage gamers to use the service, Sony is running an event “Win-A-Thon” between December 1 and January 31 that rewards users as they do well in regional tournaments. The service will also be available to PS4 owners.
At the end of the Win-A-Thon, top ranked players will win some amazing prizes: the best players can win the controllerDualSense Edge The new and the wireless headphones PULSE 3D, while those who won on the PlayStation 4 side, can even win a new generation device.
