BOLZANO. The Councillor for Public Works and Heritage Enhancement, Christian Bianchitogether with the technicians, the Department Director Daniel Bedin and the Director of the West Building Office, Stefan Canale, met the Temporary Grouping of Companies (RTI), responsible for the construction of the new library center.
“In the last month, the Library Hub project has made significant progress. If we continue on this path, we will soon have a complete picture of all the needs. Once the technical-economic variants are approved, we will proceed quickly with the start of the works, expected probably in 2025″, underlined the councilor Bianchi.
The meeting held yesterday was the first official one in anticipation of the project: all the companies involved have shown a strong spirit of collaboration with the Province, to speed up the times and start the works as soon as possible. Most of the entities involved are local companies, among which are Costruzioni Repetto Srl, Atzwanger Spa, Elpo Srl, Schmidhammer J. Srl, and Pichler projects Srl. The temporary consortium of companies (RTI) is instead conducted by the company CMBCooperativa Bricklayers and Laborers of Carpi Srl.
The resolution of the Provincial Council of 21 maggio 2024 has foreseen the implementation of the Center for the Protection of Autonomy within the Library Center: the commitment to avoid delays and to proceed quickly towards the construction of the building has been ascertained. The steps identified for the next few months include the identification of a framework of needs, defined by libraries and media libraries, and the subsequent design study, which will lead to the definitive project.
The technical-economic variant will then be delivered, which will then be followed by the approval of the project, scheduled for early 2025. At the end of the meeting, Councilor Bianchi proposed the implementation of specific activities that involve the population and make this project transparent, in every phase. The meeting ended in a proactive and collaborative climate between the group of companies, finally an active part in the process, and the Department of Public Works.
