It soon became clear that the police had blocked the road around 3 p.m. 30 minutes stopped a car driven by a man (born in 1985). According to preliminary data, the man was caught due to a conflict in the Kaunas area.
As another participant in the conflict complained when he called the police, the BMW driver threatened him with a knife during the conflict.
No one was injured in the incident.
After the conflict, the BMW driver got into his car and drove away. On the way, the police blocked his way and arrested the man.
As a result of the conflict, the police started a pre-trial investigation and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The Criminal Code specifies that whoever threatened to kill a person or seriously disturb his health, if there was sufficient reason to believe that the threat could be carried out, is punished with public service or a fine, or restriction of freedom, or arrest, or deprivation of liberty for up to two years.
