London – David Carrick (48), an employee of Britain’s Parliament security department, has been dismissed by the Met Police after being found guilty of several harassment cases. Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley informed the media about the sacking. The Met Commissioner said David Carrick’s criminal nature was not detected in time and he should not have been a police officer. The commissioner said that over 1,000 cases of sexual and domestic violence involving more than 800 police personnel were being investigated and strict action would be taken against the culprits.

Suella Browerman has urged the police force to redouble efforts to root out corrupt officers and reform police vetting processes following the David Carrick abuse case. Home Secretary Suella Browerman has warned that more shocking cases involving police officers could emerge. He has been accused of more than 80 sex crimes over the past 20 years. Two days ago, at Southwark Crown Court, David pleaded guilty to almost 36 offenses between 2003 and 2020.
